My Dream, My Future

In the past, I wanted to be a Doctor because i wanted to help many people in the future. When I saw a movie thriller where there was someone who killed someone else by cutting their body that inspired me to be a Surgeon, i was curious to see internal organs of human. Then I told my family and  they were shocked why I wanted to be like that. Even my friend said that i was a psychopath because of my habbit that's like watching a movie thriller, I just laughed when I heard that.
When I was in Senior High School, i doubt about my dream that wanted to be a surgeon because i don't like a biology subject so i thought that again if I choosed to be a surgeon, i would have difficulty in that subject.
When I was in Eleven Grade, i met Drawing Techniques subject. I was very interested in drawing, so i decidded to be an Architect. I learned many things about it and i want to practice my skill in drawing so i can be an Architect. I told my mom that i want to be an Architect but my mom seemed like she don't like that, she asked me if i was sure about that. she worried that i can do that, she seemed like she prefer i become a Doctor to an Architect but i said that i will try it. when i told my father even he seemed very excited when i decided to be an Architect and he supported me.
I will study hard to reach my dream now because my future in my hands so i have to do many things to make that come true, nothing happens if we just enjoy our life without efforts.

Why didn’t I join video conference at that time?

I went to bali on 18th of November for 4 days. At 12 a.m I went out of my house to airport, when arrived there, I had lunch before checked in, my mom brought us many kind of food so we didn’t have to buy it. We flight at 3 p.m WIB and arrived to bali at 3:40 p.m WITA. My family who live there picked us up to their house. After taking a bath and tidying our goods we went to kuta beach directly to have dinner and just lay our body on sandy while enjoying fresh air.
The first day, we went to Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, there are a big pura called Ulun Danu Bratan and the beautiful lake on the side of pura. We took many pics there because of its beautiful of view. Afterthat we went to Tanah Lot beach to see holy snake, many people said that if we lie, we will be bitten by it. It has white long body and it was sleeping when I visited then they asked me to touch it, at first I felt afraid but I touch it and nothing happened. In the evening, we went to kuta beach again to see beautiful sunset and played water before.
The second day, we went to Tanjung Benoa to play water sport like paracyling, banana boat and flying fish. How fantastic day was! I was very excited to spend that time by playing many kind of water sport in there, afterthat we went to Nusa Dua beach just for relax and enjoying that view then we went to pandawa beach. That is The most beautiful beach in bali I think because there are many cliffs on the side of along road and paragliding. Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders : lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. You have to try it, it is amazing!! We also can play boat by ourself in there. After playing water we had lunch and went to dreamland to see sunset. At dreamland there is a uniqe big wave.
The third day, we just went to some store to buy something that we would be given for my friends in bandung like pie susu, barong clothes, jogger or some jewelry.
The last day, we spent that time to pack our goods and take a rest. We went to airport at 6 p.m and flight to bandung at 8 P.M.

BAKTI DESA

I want to tell you about my amazing experience. In october 2014, my school, SMAN 3 Bandung held Bakti Desa event where we would live at villagers houses for 3 days and follow their usual activities. This is one of my school's main education programme that is aimed to teach us how to survive in a real life. can you guess that? live far from your parents, do something that you never do before, feel free without thinking about your assignment haha and breathe in fresh air not pollution one. that is interesting, isn't that?
in that morning, i arrived at school yard. i looked for my class' transportation to go to that village. i saw my classmate, then asked him where girls' transportation is, because our transportation is separated between girls and boys. He showed me the way, I took my seat comfortably and all of us enjoyed that trip happily.
When we arrived there, we took our goods and put them in Balai Desa. There would be open ceremony this event, so we wait at yard in front of that building while listening to what commite said. Actually my friends and I weren’t really listening to that, we were too busy with our activities like taking some pic of us or eating some snack we brought or talking about everything that we wanted. Afterthat we had lunch together and prepared to go to villager's houses. We had to walk so far on uphill road and pass some ricefield to arrive there. we were devided into some group and i was in the same group with Naila, Tiya and Reksa, each group would stay in a villagers house and do their activities together, so someone acompany us to that place.
when we arrived there, i saw an orange house with scallion field in front of and behind that house, i thought the house was not bad for me because it wasn't like that i thought before, it was better than other house that i saw around there. An old woman who is house owner went out of that house, she was smiled and allow us to enter her house. she stayed in that house alone, her husband passed away years ago and all of her children had married and stayed at different house around there so that caused her house was so quiet. beside in front of and behind her house, she also had some scallion field in some spot in this villlage, she didn't take care of her field by herself but she had some labor to do that, so she just stayed at home. we tidied our goods then we talked about everything to make a good relation with her while eating some snack that she gave.
we went out of the house in that afternoon, we wanted to play kite and jump rope with some kids living around there. afterthat my classmate held a meeting in our basecamp to plan our event that we hold for kids, finally we decided to make some games that we played together with them like football. we went to football field on the top of hill so we had to walk so far to reach there. when we arrived there, the boys played football with the kids and the girls took some pics of us because the view is so beautiful, we could see everything from there. we came back home to rest in that evening.
when we arrived home, she had provided us somekind of food for having dinner, we took a bath before having dinner then watching TV, i never think it would be easy like this so i felt so good today. we slept after watching TV and talking about everything while eating some snack in our bedroom.
the day after, we woke up at 5 a.m and prayed before we did activities, we planned to go to a traditional market for buying something that can be cooked by us. after buying all of we need, we cooked many kind of foods and had breakfast before we gardened on her scallion field. we went out of her house to that field, when we arrived there she taught me how to pull out dry leaves from the plants because it cause badly produce of plants. after we worked all day long we decided to go to citarum river that is far from there but naila and the old woman wanted to cameback home early so only Tiya, Reksa and i who went there, the farmer show us the way to reach citarum river but in the middle of our trip we lost that way so we just followed the water flowing to citarum river. after taking somehours to get there, we met our friends eating on the side of river, they offered us to join and have lunch with them. after having lunch we wanted to go to the river but the farmer warn us not to go there bacause the flowing water was bad so we cameback home with disappointed feel.
we took a bath because we were so dirty after that trip and tooke a rest while watching TV.
in that evening, we wanted to join Pawai Obor for celebrating islam's new year. our classmate planned a meeting in our basecamp to go to Pawai Obor together, then one of villagers dropped us off that place. when we arrived there we saw many villagers walked together by holding obor to some spot untill 2 a.m because that trip was so far, our teacher didn't allow us to join them so that we held our event like bonfire but my classmate separated ourself with them and make event by ourself, we played Truth Or Dare. i think that night was so excited, we so closed each other and we laughed together. we cameback home about at 10 p.m.
the final day, we just stayed at home and packed our goods. about at 12 a.m all of us went to Balai Desa again to attand close ceremony of this event. before tiya, reksa, naila and i went out of that old woman's house we took some pics of us for memorial. at 1 p.m we had come back to our school.

Pandawa Beach

Overview

With a mesmerizing natural landscape, ancient religious structures and multiple cultural activities, the list of things to do and places to go on the world-famous island of Bali is almost endless.
Most of us know of the usual places beaches like Dreamland or Kuta Beach, but another more beautiful yet less heard of beach exists, by the name of Pandawa. Often referred to as the Secret Beach, Pandawa is located in the village of Kutuh in Southern Bali. Concealed behind high cliffs and overgrown shrubbery, Pandawa beach had long remained secluded from the crowds of tourists, due to the less-than-easy path that had to be taken to access it.
Over the last few years, seeing the potential held in the beach’s majestic and pristine beauty, the Badung Regency Administration opened about 1.5 kilometers of access roads. This beautiful road to a hidden paradise is indeed one of a kind, cut between rugged limestone cliffs that rise on either side.
As you near Pandawa, you will be greeted by five statues carved into the cliffs beside you: Yudhistira, Bima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sadewa. These are the Panca Pandawa, five brothers who are characters in the shadow puppet theater, from which the beach takes its name.
With towering cliffs on either side of the drive, not much else can be seen along the coastal road, until it finally opens out to the beach itself. And when it does, its spellbinding beauty is unquestionable. Seemingly endless stretches of pure white sand span from one end to another. The clear blue water heaves with the swell of the ocean in hypnotic rolling waves, until the sea meets the sky. The magnificent cliffs that once served as the walls that hid the secret beach now stand guard, keeping watch over all who enter.

Get There
Pandawa Beach is about 1 hour from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. If you are starting from Kuta area, head towards the Garuda Kencana Wisnu Cultural Park, then take a left turn towards Nusa Dua or Bali Cliff. Keep an eye out for the sign reaching “Pandawa Beach.” When you reach a crossroad, take a left turn which will lead you along the coastal cliff road to Pandawa.
To Do
As with any other beach, prepare to get wet. Take a swim and enjoy the other available water sports such as canoeing and paragliding. Don’t feel like going in the water? Simply sit on the beach beneath the trees or at one of the beach stalls and enjoy a fresh coconut with a snack of roasted corn.
Parts of Pandawa Beach are also used as farming ground for seaweed cultivation. Take a stroll and observe the various seaweed farms which have been part of the Pandawa community since the 1980s. The farming on this beach collaborates with countries such as Denmark and the United States.
Aside from the usual beach activities, Pandawa Beach is also the site for the Hindu “Melasti” ceremony practiced by the Balinese community. Melasti is held each year around March, in conjunction with Nyepi, the Hindu Balinese New year. The ceremony takes place three days before Nyepi and represents the cleansing and purification of mind and soul. This is a rather spectacular parade and worthy experience, should you be visiting Bali at the right time of year.
